ABOUT THIS PIECE: The idea behind the "Circle of Voices" is the infinite, the never ending energy within the human spirit, within the Universe and the connection between the two to the Earth and life's experiences. The struggle of the Palestinian people is a never ending circle of emotional resilience. Behind this emotional resilience stands the hope as a key hole to the ending of the occupation.
ABOUT THE ARTIST: Vassia Alaykova was born and raised in Bulgaria until the age of 14 when she moved to the US with a refugee status. She has been paining and performing since very early age, completely in love with the arts. Her passion for dance, music and color is expressed in her paintings which are highly elaborated with detail, emotions and complexity. She feels happy when her art touches people's hearts and has an impact on social issues.
